Proof of Concept
Many of Optiant’s customers started the process of implementing advanced inventory optimization and building an internal supply chain design and optimization competency with a proof of concept (POC) project.
The POC is a rapid analysis of your supply chain that quantifies how your performance can be improved with precision inventory targets and enhanced supply chain planning policy. In a very short timeframe, the POC will deliver a clear plan for better supply chain performance with immediate benefits from optimal inventory targets and critical operational decisions over the long term, and answer key questions like:
- How will precision inventory targets improve current service performance levels?
- How much working capital can be extracted from today’s supply chain with optimal inventory targets at each stage of the supply chain?
- How can end to end supply chain performance visibility deliver a clear path toward improved supply chain flexibility, data-driven policy decisions and overall more competitive supply chain?
At the completion of the project, the POC will deliver:
- Real implement-able inventory targets with immediate financial benefit
- Recommendation for inventory optimization within your current planning process
- Hands-on opportunity to work with Optiant’s inventory planning and supply design solutions
- Quantified opportunity for supply chain performance improvement immediately and longer term
- A clear path forward for including supply design and inventory optimization as an internal competency
Methodology
The POC project approach follows the standard Optiant methodology.
A data template is provided by Optiant at the beginning of the project specifying the various data elements required.
The project spans anywhere from three to six weeks depending on the scope. The POC is executed by Optiant’s supply chain consultants in conjunction with your subject matter experts.
