OPTIANT NAMES ROBERT FERRARI AS VICE PRESIDENT, CORPORATE STRATEGY AND MARKETING
Seasoned Industry Expert Brings Proven Success in Corporate Growth
Boston, Mass., Jan.10, 2007 — Optiant, the leading provider of inventory planning and optimization solutions, is pleased to announce the appointment of Robert Ferrari as Vice President, Corporate Strategy and Marketing. The company gains a renowned supply chain industry analyst and management professional bringing over 25 years of business experience in business planning, global supply chain, product marketing, and business development. Ferrari also will contribute to Optiant his proven ability to increase corporate growth and awareness.

Prior to joining Optiant, Ferrari served as Director of Supply Chain Strategies at Manufacturing Insights, an industry analyst research company affiliated with IDC, where he directed supply chain research spanning global supply chains. Before IDC, Ferrari was Director of Supply Chain Product Marketing for SAP AG, with global responsibility for marketing, positioning and business development for mySAP SCM solutions. Preceding his position at SAP, Ferrari was an Industry Analyst at AMR Research, where he provided research and insights for both the Supply Chain and the Procurement and Enterprise Management Applications practices.

Ferrari’s professional affiliations include a longstanding membership to the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP), a position on the Certified in Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) exam review committee for APICS (The Association for Operations Management) and board membership on the MIT Forum for Supply Chain Innovation. He is also APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) and received a 2006 citation as Pros to Know, published by Supply and Demand Chain Executive Magazine.
Ferrari holds an MBA from Babson College, where he continues to contribute as an alumni volunteer in Babson’s External Assessment Team Leadership Skills Program. He also received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Northeastern University.
